Waste: 89% Diversion From Landfill
With a waste management system in place, all of our foods and liquids are recycled or composted.
All of our events are low-to-no waste (we use corn cups and straws).
All of our used kitchen grease is donated to www.gotgrease.org for bio-diesel fuel preparation.
Interface Carpet Tiles - When one gets ruined we can just replace that square.
NO UV coating on our flyers. Although paperless promotion is better, the UV coating makes flyers non-recyclable and adds to the Great Pacific Garbage Patch.
Energy: 89KW in August
Lighting Retrofit with LED (light emmiting diods).
Encourage employees to take the stairs (behavior change is equally important).
PG&E Energy Audit & Zen Compound is retrofitting all lighting and will receive a $17,000 rebate when complete.
We have offset all of our energy usage with using PG&E Climate Smart.
Did you know? That energy works with supply and demand? 34cents/KW hour during the day and 7cents/KW hour at night. To see if you
are eligible for a rate adjustment, call PG&E 1-800-743-5000
Water: 20,000 Gallons in September
We received a water audit from the PUC
Low flow toilets - 1.26 gallons/flush
Waterless urinals
Leak inspection - a slow drip can waste 50 gallons a month!
Araitors on all faucets to minimize the flow
Did you Know?
The PUC offers you rebates up to $200.00 for upgrading to a toilet that uses 1.26 or less gallons? We
found ours for $149.00 at Home Depot!
